A LITTLE ABOUT THIS PROJECT

During my summer internship at Nickelodeon, as part of Viacom Digital Studios, I found myself in a brainstorming session with my mentors—Brent Coble, Robert Panico, and James Olson—discussing fresh content for the upcoming Halloween season. In a lighthearted moment, I jokingly suggested a cooking show hosted by a skeleton chef, called ‘Bone Appétit.’ To my surprise, the room erupted in laughter as we took turns sharing our most humerus bone-related puns. Even more surprisingly, the concept was greenlit. What had started as a lame dad joke unwittingly became my first-ever comedy sketch.

This project not only honed my skills in writing and co-producing but also taught me the value of creative spontaneity in a professional setting. I’m truly grateful to Nickelodeon and my VDS teammates for believing in this silly project.

If I had one takeaway from this experience, it’s “Don’t take life too seriously; you’ll never get out alive. Just ask a skeleton.”
